Workshop on teaching methods & evaluation at ctg medical university

A three-day workshop on “Workshop on Teaching Methods and Evaluation” organized by the Faculty of Nursing of Chattogram Medical University was held.

The workshop was inaugurated on Monday by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Omar Faruk Yusuf. He discussed in detail the improvement of the quality of education and services of nurses in the affiliated institutions of the university, initiated by the Faculty of Nursing of Chattogram Medical University, and highlighted the importance and significance of the nursing education system.

On the first day of the workshop, two teachers (24 people) from 12 nursing colleges located outside Chattogram city affiliated to the university participated.

The three-day workshop will be attended by the Registrar of Bangladesh Medical Education Accreditation Council, Professor Dr. Humayun Kabir Talukder, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Professor Dr. Meherunnisa Khanam, Assistant Professor of the Center for Medical Education, Dr. Thanadar Tamjida Tapu, and Associate Professor Dr. Afroza Haque as resource persons.

On the first day of the workshop, the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Professor Dr. Meherunnisa Khanam, was present as the main discussant, and the Resource Persons were the Assistant Professor of the Center for Medical Education, Dr. Thanadar Tamjida Tapu, and Associate Professor Dr. Afroza Haque, Associate Professor.

University Registrar Professor Dr. Sultana Ruma Alam, Director Finance Mohammad Ikramul Haque Khan, College Inspector Professor Dr. Moynal Hossain, Assistant Registrar Md. Alauddin and various officials of the university were present at the time.

Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain will be present as the chief guest on the concluding day of the training on January 21.

Its mentioned that in the first phase in 2025, teachers from 11 colleges in city affiliated to Chattogram Medical University participated. This is the first time that Chattogram Medical University has organized such a training Of trainers (TOT) training for teachers of the nursing profession in Bangladesh
