Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar on Monday said that the country could witness another mass uprising if the ongoing election-related violence does not stop.
He issued the warning from a protest rally held at the North Gate of Baitul Mukarram around 4:50pm. Afterwards, a protest march to Shahbagh was held.
The Jamaat-led 11-party electoral alliance staged the demonstrations in protest against the repression, violence, arson attacks, vandalism and murder attempts carried out allegedly by the elected BNP and its allies since the 12 February general elections.
