There will be no discrimination in the development of the mountains: Minister of Hill Tracts

Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Dipen Dewan arrived in Rangamati for the first time after assuming the ministry, and was welcomed by Rangamati district residents and Rangamati administration officials. When he reached his parliamentary constituency in Rangamati today, he was greeted with flowers from the Rangamati Godarpar area.

When the newly elected minister arrived at the Rangamati Circuit House in the afternoon, Rangamati Deputy Commissioner Najma Ashrafi, District Police Superintendent Muhammad Abdur Rakib PSC, Rangamati Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board Chairman Major (Retd) Anup Kumar Chakma, Rangamati District Council Chairman Krishibid Kajal Talukder, and BNP leaders and activists from various government departments greeted him with flowers.

Coming to Rangamati for the first time as the Minister of Hill Tracts, he told reporters, "We will work with the goal of developing all the people of the hills. Our main goal is to develop all sectors including education, health, agriculture, infrastructure. We will work with everyone to accelerate the balanced development of the Chittagong Hill Tracts." 

He also said that no kind of discrimination or communal harmony will be allowed to destroy the development of the hills. We will take up the work of development where no development has reached for many years. 

The Minister of Hill Tracts told the leaders and activists that we have to bring about balanced development of the country through serving the people on the instructions of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. BNP is now the servant of the people. Therefore, he called on every leader and activist to work for the party with the mentality of serving the people.
