The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has decided that none of its Members of Parliament will take duty-free cars or government-allocated plots.
The decision was taken at the first meeting of the party’s parliamentary group under the new government on Tuesday (17 February).
BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the information.
He said BNP lawmakers would not take duty-free vehicles, nor would they accept any plots allocated by the government.
The move comes as part of the party’s stated commitment to maintaining transparency and avoiding the use of special privileges.
