Speaking on the initiative, CDA Chairman Engineer Belayet Hossain said, "Standing beside people affected by natural disasters is our moral and social responsibility. CDA remains committed to reducing the suffering of flood victims. Relief assistance will be extended to more affected areas in phases. In coordination with the government's humanitarian efforts, CDA will continue to support people in need."

The relief distribution programme was attended by local public representatives, government officials,  CDA officers and staff. Rice was distributed among the affected families in an orderly manner.

Local residents welcomed CDA's humanitarian initiative, saying such support from a government agency during times of disaster plays a vital role in reducing the hardships of flood victims. They also expressed hope that similar assistance would continue for other affected communities.
