Ctg district Police recover 101 lost mobile phones

Chattogram District Police have successfully recovered 101 lost mobile phones from different areas under 17 police stations across the district and returned them to their rightful owners through a technology-driven investigation.

The recovered mobile phones were officially handed over to their owners on Wednesday at the office of the Superintendent of Police in Nasirabad, Chattogram. The handover ceremony was attended by Superintendent of Police (SP) Md. Masud Alam distributed the recovered devices.

According to district police sources, the recovery operation was conducted by the District Detective Branch (DB) as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen public-oriented policing and ensure the recovery of citizens’ lost property. The initiative involved reviewing General Diary (GD) entries related to lost mobile phones filed at 17 police stations across the district.

Through the combined use of modern information technology, digital tracking systems and intelligence-based investigations, the Detective Branch successfully traced and recovered the 101 mobile phones.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the district police after receiving their devices. Many said the initiative has further strengthened public confidence and trust in law enforcement agencies.

SP Md. Masud Alam said, “It is a matter of great satisfaction for us to recover lost property and return it to its rightful owners. Chattogram District Police is working to make public service activities more effective through the integration of modern technology and intelligence-based operations.”

He said that the achievement of the Detective Branch in recovering lost mobile phones would play an important role in enhancing public trust and confidence in the police.

“Ensuring the safety of people and their property, recovering lost belongings, and providing technology-based policing services remain our priorities. We will continue to perform our duties with the highest level of professionalism, sincerity, and commitment,” he said.

Chattogram District Police said, its commitment to protecting citizens’ property, preventing crime, and expanding technology-driven policing services to better serve the public in the future.
