Amid the towering Himalayas, where snow-clad peaks converse silently with the azure sky, a team of travellers from Dhaka International University embarked on an unforgettable journey to Nepal's mystical Mustang Valley. The expedition, led by Barrister Shameem Haider Patwari, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dhaka International University, unfolded as a remarkable encounter with nature, culture, and human resilience.
The travellers' team, comprising former Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Ganesh Chandra Saha, faculty members, and university officials, traversed the breathtaking landscapes of Mustang, one of Nepal's most fascinating Himalayan regions. Their journey took them to the picturesque Marpha village and several other traditional settlements nestled amid rugged mountains and apple orchards.
Marpha, often referred to as the "Apple Capital of Nepal," appeared like a poem carved into stone. The village's neatly arranged whitewashed houses, narrow cobblestone alleys, fluttering prayer flags, and ancient monasteries transported the visitors to a world seemingly untouched by time. Every corner of the village whispered stories of history, faith, and the enduring spirit of mountain communities.
The natural splendour of the Mustang proved to be beyond description. Majestic peaks rose proudly against the horizon, while the crisp mountain air carried a profound sense of tranquillity. The visitors found themselves spellbound by the panoramic vistas of the Himalayas, whose timeless grandeur left an indelible impression on every member of the team.
As the sun cast golden hues upon the snow-capped summits, the travellers experienced moments of awe and reflection. The Himalayan landscape, with its dramatic cliffs, deep gorges, and serene valleys, reminded them of nature's unparalleled artistry and the insignificance of human boundaries.
Beyond its scenic magnificence, the journey also fostered camaraderie and intellectual exchange among the participants. Sharing experiences amidst the majestic mountains strengthened bonds among colleagues and enriched their understanding of the diverse cultural heritage of Nepal.
The DIU travellers returned home carrying not only photographs and souvenirs but also cherished memories of a land where nature reigns supreme and where the Himalayas continue to inspire wonder in the hearts of all who behold them.
Indeed, Mustang is not merely a destination; it is an emotion—a timeless symphony of mountains, culture, and human aspiration.
