An international seminar titled “From Idea to Publication: Mastering Research Writing and Ethical Scholarships” was held Wednesday (22 April) at Dhaka International University with active participation from faculty members and students.
The seminar was conducted online by Dr. Sudhir Mittal, Deputy Dean of Research at Guru Kashi University, Punjab, India. Around 300 students, along with chairpersons of various departments and faculty members, attended the session.
Professor Dr. Shariful Alam, Director of CRED, DIU, presided over the Seminar. Professor Mohammad Shah Alam Chowdhury, Student Welfare Adviser & Chairpersons of the different departments of the university delivered a speech in the seminar. The seminar was presented by Mili Rahman, Associate Professor and Joint Director, CRED.
In his keynote address, Dr. Mittal elaborately discussed research methodologies, academic writing techniques, plagiarism issues, and research ethics. A question-and-answer session followed the presentation, making the seminar interactive and engaging.
Dr. Mittal is a noted researcher whose work focuses on environmental radiation, including indoor radon and thoron studies, and the impact of radionuclides on human health and the environment. He has published over 18 research articles in reputed international journals and contributed significantly to the field of environmental safety and radiological assessment.
