Geography and Environment Professor Dr Nahreen Islam Khan of Jahangirnagar University (JU) has been nominated as a member of the university's highest decision-making body Syndicate for two years.
The nomination was made today under Sections 22(1)(G) and 22(3) of the Jahangirnagar University Act, 1973, following approval by the President and Chancellor, according to an order signed by Assistant Secretary Md Sultan Ahmed of the Education Ministry.
The order also cancelled the previous nomination of Botany Professor Dr Saleh Ahammad Khan, issued on June 23, 2025.
