Kosovo Embassy Hosts Cultural Screening in Chittagong

The Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Dhaka, in collaboration with Alliance Française Chittagong, organized a special screening of the documentary “Destination Francophonie: Kosovo–Welcome to the Heart of the Balkans” at the Alliance Française Auditorium on Wednesday, April 3.

The event drew a diverse audience, including members of the diplomatic community, cultural figures, academics, students, and the general public, reflecting strong interest in Kosovo’s culture and society.

Speaking at the event, Mr Enis Xhemaili, Deputy Head of Mission and Counsellor, who is currently serving as Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of Kosovo in Bangladesh, highlighted the importance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening mutual understanding and people-to-people connections.

He noted that this was the Embassy’s first cultural event in Chittagong, marking a significant step in expanding Kosovo’s outreach beyond Dhaka.

Mr Xhemaili also expressed appreciation to Alliance Française de Chittagong, especially its Director Mr Bruno Lacrampe and his team, for their cooperation and for organising a high-quality programme.

The documentary, produced by TV5MONDE as part of its “Destination Francophonie” series, presents an engaging portrayal of Kosovo’s rich cultural heritage, diverse traditions, and scenic landscapes, offering audiences a meaningful introduction to the country.

The Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo reaffirmed its commitment to expanding cultural engagement across Bangladesh, including Chittagong, through similar initiatives aimed at fostering dialogue, cultural exchange, and stronger bilateral ties.
