The Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre in Bogura Sadar Upazila was inaugurated on Saturday. Rezaul Karim Badsha MP, President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Housing and Public Works, unveiled the inaugural plaque. Sadar Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Md. Abdul Wazed presided over the inaugural ceremony.
Among those present were Executive Engineer of the Bogura Public Works Department Md. Al Mamun Haque, Islamic Foundation Deputy Director Md Shafiuzzaman, Bogura Metropolitan BNP President Advocate Hamidul Haque Chowdhury Hiru and District BNP Vice-President Maftun Ahmed Khan Rubel. A special prayer was offered to mark the inauguration.
Meanwhile, the Bogura Metropolitan unit of Zia Sangskritik Sangathan (JISAS) accorded a reception to BNP District President Rezaul Karim Badsha, MP, on Saturday. At the reception and exchange-of-views meeting, leaders discussed various organisational issues and provided directives for strengthening and accelerating the organisation’s activities.
Among those attending were JISAS Central Committee Joint General Secretary Mominur Rashid Shine, Bogura Metropolitan JISAS President Sultan Ahmed Tuhin, General Secretary Masud Sarker Konok, Senior Vice-President Touhidul Islam Sheikh, Vice-President Gulzar Ali, Senior Joint Secretary Syed Ahmed Mohammad Ali Chowdhury, Joint Secretary Saiduzzaman Piru, Organising Secretary Solaiman Sheikh, Assistant Organising Secretary Abdul Wahab, Treasurer Monir Uddin Shipu and Office Secretary Mosaddeq Ali.
