Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Administrator Md. Mahfuzur Rahman Riton inspected the ongoing development projects and construction works in various areas of Rajshahi metropolis.
On Thursday (April 30) afternoon, he conducted this inspection program in Lakshmipur and Naodapara areas.
During the inspection, he inquired about the progress of the work and provided necessary directions to the concerned to complete the work as soon as possible.
The Administrator first inspected the raw market market under construction in Naodapara area. Then he inspected the beautification work of the 6th Ward Councilor Office cum Community Center under construction in the Lakshmipur area and the pond adjacent to the Children's Hospital and Chest Disease Hospital.
At this time, he said that the construction of the Nawadapara Raw Market Market will be completed as soon as possible and allocation will be made as per the law, which will help increase the revenue income of the City Corporation.
During the visit, the RASIC Administrator exchanged views with local businessmen. He patiently listened to their problems and assured them to solve them in stages.
At that time, he said that the current government led by Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is working to quickly implement the election promises of the people. Work has already started on the family card, farmer card, Imam-Moazzim allowance and canal excavation programs. In addition, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the 'New Bud Sports-2026' on May 2 with the aim of developing athletes from the grassroots.
Expressing his determination to ensure citizen services, Md. Mahfuzur Rahman Riton said, "I have been working day and night to meet the needs of the city residents since taking charge on March 15. With the cooperation of all of you, I want to make Rajshahi one of the most beautiful cities not only in Bangladesh but also in the world."
Rasik Superintending Engineer (Acting) Ahmed Al Moin Parag, Executive Engineer (Development) Mahmudur Rahman Emon, Urban Planner Boni Ahsan and other concerned officials were present during the inspection.
Also present were Nawdapara Bazar Association President Abul Kashem, General Secretary Azizul Islam and leaders of local BNP and affiliated organizations.
